The Heritage Guild of Collin County achieves this mission by:

  • Hosting community events that bring people together to celebrate Collin County’s heritage.
  • Maintaining buildings, artifacts and grounds that show how people lived during a key period in Collin County history (1850-1940).
  • Providing educational programming to demonstrate how people lived from 1850-1940.
  • Supporting Collin County and McKinney in achieving a community that owns its unique history in stewardship for the future.

Mark Miserak
Board Chairman

Mark and Connie’s home was featured in the 2021 Holiday Tour of Homes, and he soon began serving on the board as Marketing Chair and Board Vice Chair. Mark has board leadership experience with Lone Star Wind Orchestra, St. Philip’s Vestry, and Prosper UMC. He’s currently a VP with global software giant, SAP and has 30 years experience in high tech software sales. Having made the McKinney Historic District home 5 years ago, Mark has a passion for Chestnut Square’s role in McKinney’s past and future.

Melanie Perkins
Board Vice-Chair

Melanie is a nonprofit industry veteran and Collin County resident passionate about fundraising and organizational growth. A graduate of Leadership McKinney and Leadership Plano, she serves her community through volunteer work with Chestnut Square, the Junior League of Collin County, and the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano. She became involved with Chestnut Square in 2016 and has become an enthusiastic advocate for preserving and celebrating Collin County’s history.

Dean Lucas
Corporate Events Chair

Dean is a recently retired tech entrepreneur that has helped create visionary products in telemedicine and patient care. He moved to McKinney’s historical district three years ago with his wife, Libby, and their home was featured in the Holiday Home Tour in 2023. Owning a historic home has taught Dean the importance of historical preservation and he is now very excited to be a part of Chestnut Square. He looks forward to helping McKinney grow this extraordinary space while preserving its rich and colorful past.

Amanda Konersmann
Volunteers/Community Relations

Amanda is a wife, mom, and community volunteer. She joins the Chestnut Square Board after years of attending its events and the award-winning Farmers Market. As a former President to the Junior League of Collin County, and a current Board Member to the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center in Plano, she brings leadership, management, and community engagement experience to the organization. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading and crafting with epoxy resin.

Davina Gazo Stampfel
Marketing Committee Chair

Davina is an award winning video content marketer who is passionate about storytelling and has worked with some of the world’s best known musicians and brands in her 20 year career.

Davina is currently the Executive Director of McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) – McKinney’s local nonprofit community theatre.  Her passion for Chestnut Square began during the first collaboration between MRT and Chestnut Square on a murder mystery dinner theatre which has now become a semi-annual event.  She currently chairs Chestnut Square’s Marketing Committee.

Tim McClure
Operational Excellence

Tim is the Business Manager of a luxury multifamily property located in Downtown McKinney. He is focused on providing a place that people are proud to call home. His drive to support this community centers around his two young children who frequently shop at the Farmers Market. In conjunction with Columbus Realty and Davis at the Square, Tim has been a financial sponsor
for Chestnut Square’s events and projects since 2018.

Tricia Robles
Farmer’s Market Liaison

Tricia is married and mother of a 9 year old and serves as an officer in the PTA and an active alum of The University of Alabama, and The Peddie School. Her passion for community led her to our board three years ago. As Farmer’s Market Liaison, she collaborates with the Vendors of our #1 Farmer’s Market in Texas and brings new event ideas and ways to increase attendance. Tricia is an executive with Proctor and Gamble.
