The 2011 Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk
Saturday, October 22th and Saturday, October 29th, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
includes the following legendary sites:
Chestnut Square Historic Village Dulaney House : Learn about the tragedies of the Dulaney family. Do people really see a child in white at the attic door? Learn about Corrine Dulaney at the Dulaney House. Is she the one people see?

Chestnut Square Historic Village Dulaney Cottage : Mrs. Dulaney spent years in mourning for her husband and child...see her in typical mourning attire at the Dulaney Cottage. Who is the man in black, the mysterious man that many claim to see in the dining room?

Chestnut Square Historic Village Taylor Inn : Civil War reenactors, Farmers Market visitors, people touring Chestnut Square all claim to have seen a man peering down from the second story of the Two-Bit Taylor Inn. Built in 1864, the Taylor Inn served as a stopping point on the stage coach line and later the train. For a quarter (two-bits), travelers received a bed and dinner and breakfast. Did someone stay after the stage coach left? Sit around the camp fire next the Taylor Inn, listen to ghost stories and see if you see the man in the window!

McKinney Performing Arts Center (formerly the Collin County Courthouse): Can you find the Lady in White that many have seen at dusk? Check out this photo provided by Juan Carlos of Entertainment Photos. Can you see the apparition in the window on the third floor to the right? Is it true that the plaster fell from the ceiling onto the jury box when Candy Montgomery was acquited? Go inside the McKinney Performing Arts Center and see the exhibits from the Texas Paranormal Researchers (TEXPART). They've visited the sites on the Ghost Walk and are ready to share their findings!

Churchills: (Formerly The Londoner) Watch out for flying forks and broken glass. What about the knife dropping down from above? Where did this ghost come from? Is it a man killed in a gunfight at this sight when it was a bar with a brothel upstairs? Is it a male spirit from a botched mass hanging nearby? Or is it a woman, as some believe, possibly a former resident?

The Old Collin County Prison: Can you see the shadow of the hanging man from the last public hanging in Texas? What about those metallic footsteps on the stairs?
Landon's Winery: Why is there a well at the back of the winery? Who makes those noises the winemaker hears? Beware of the bottles flying off the wall!

Main Street Magic and Fun Company: Why does the attic door open and clost itself? Who parts the curtains as if to look out? Did you hear footsteps? See the site of Mckinney's mostappalling tragedies where eight people died in 1913.

Morningstar Treasures:
Who is the young man that is so helpful to customers? Or the older man who looks over the balcony? The lady in Victorian mourning attire? A new addition in 2010, Morningstar Treasures is full of ghostly stories!

The Pantry Restaurant:
Who is the shadow man that employees and customers report seeing? Did that pan just fly off the wall by itself? Come and hear the stories of a love triangle and a murder long ago!
