We also ask that you be respectful of private events, (we host approximately 100 weddings each year), fundraisers or dinners, and of the property itself.
Also note that the property is under surveillance for your safety and security.
Restrictions – PLEASE – No glitter, confetti, feathers, Silly String, Balloon releases or anything of that nature. we ask that you leave nothing behind, and take only fond memories of your time on our property.

No, Chestnut Square Historic Village is privately owned and operated by the Heritage Guild of Collin County, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We are supported through program revenues, special events, grants, membership dues and donations.
The buildings are open for guided tours on Thursdays and Saturdays at 11am. Otherwise, an audio tour is available 24/7 with a QR Code reader app on a phone. Instructions are at each building.
The buildings are over or approaching 100 years old, and house our collection of artifacts, so they are not open for unaccompanied guests. Our Visitors Center is open Tuesday – Friday, 9am-3pm, and Saturdays during Farmers Market.
